Towels’ spark
“it started all from that one random image from the magazine hidden underneath my bed. So, yes, it is strange how ideas form.” Prawta Annez
Rosa Mulraney: Where did it all start? What was the spark that lead to Towels?
Prawta Annez: Yeah, Luis, the Luis Cook Workshop, where he asked us to bring in 12 images, just 12 images that we liked or inspired us or intrigued us. And the funny thing is I had I'm pretty sure I had 11 images, perfectly thought out and I was ready and I didn't have the last one. I remember going through like a Kinfolk magazine, just something desperately trying to find the last image. And it was the article about beach etiquette and so on. …and I was I think I came up with a story like, oh, “What if the world was covered with towels?”. And then other people chipped in on, oh, “What if it reflects this in society?”… I think it just kind of… sunk a little, planted a little seed in me … it started all from that one random image from the magazine hidden underneath my bed. So, yes, it is strange how ideas form.
